New York, NY (Wednesday, January 15, 2020) – Grammy Award-nominated vocalist Jazzmeia Horn returns to Jazz at Lincoln Center in her The Appel Room headlining debut, in The Artistry of Jazzmeia Horn. Featuring songs off her second album,Love and Liberation at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s The Appel Room in Frederick P. Rose Hall, located at Broadway at 60th Street, New York, NY. The performances will take place on March 6-7 at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Jazzmeia has confidently taken the jazz world by storm since winning the 2015 International Thelonious Monk Vocal Competition, receiving her first Grammy Award nomination for her debut album, A Social Call in 2018.Jazzmeia is now coming into her own on the Love and Liberation tour, connecting with audiences on a new level.  An ode to unapologetic self-love and honest expression, this is Horn’s first collection of almost-entirely original material.

This Appel Room feature debut will include the same band from the Love and Liberation album: Josh Evans on trumpet, Keith Brown on piano, Ben Williams on bass, Anwar Marshall on drums, and dancer Alexandria Johnson.

The Appel Room ticket prices are $65 and up, dependent upon seating section.

All single tickets can be purchased through jazz.org 24 hours a day or through CenterCharge at 212-721-6500, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office, located on Broadway at 60th Street, ground floor. Note: Hot Seats—$10 seats for each Rose Theater performance (excluding Jazz for Young People® concerts and other performances as specified) and select performances in The Appel Room—are available for purchase by the general public on the Wednesday prior to each performance. Tickets are subject to availability; please call 212-258-9800 for available Hot Seats performance dates.

Many of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s concerts stream live in high-definition audio and video for free to a global audience. The concerts will also be available on Livestream’s mobile and TV-connected applications with real-time DVR, chat, photos and other materials available to fans worldwide at jazz.org/live.
