New York, NY (September 19, 2019) - For two nights only, Jazz at Lincoln Center presents the first-ever collaboration between two legendary jazz pianists, Chucho Valdés and Chick Corea. On November 15-16 at 8:00 p.m., Chucho Valdés with special guest Chick Corea begins as a master class in solo piano performance with Valdés selecting and improvising pieces across a broad spectrum of Cuban, Afro-Latin, and jazz styles. With fleet-fingered, cross-cultural brilliance in every phrase, Valdés brings unbridled passion and astonishing technique to every performance. Valdés is joined by Corea in the second half of the concert, marking the debut collaboration of the living legends.

Dizzy's Club November 2019 Lineup Announced
New York, NY (September 16, 2019) - Notable performances in Dizzy’s Club in the month of November include the album release celebration of Remembering U by NEA Jazz Master Jimmy Cobb and his trio (November 25); JLCO baritone saxophonist Paul Nedzela and his quartet (November 5-6); a tribute to Billy Higgins by drummer Willie Jones III (November 14-17); vocalist Paula West with her incredible band, which includes guitarist Russell Malone (November 22-24); and drummer Jerome Jennings’ CD release: SOLIDARITY (November 12).

On November 1-2 at 8:00 p.m., the concert entitled ECM Records at 50 will feature performances by Jack DeJohnette-ECM’s most recorded artist to date - as well as Avishai Cohen, Ravi Coltrane, Bill Frisell, Matthew Garrison, Egberto Gismonti, Larry Grenadier, Vijay Iyer, Ethan Iverson, Anja Lechner, Meredith Monk, Enrico Rava, Wadada Leo Smith, Craig Taborn, and Mark Turner.
