New York, NY (July 31, 2019) - Jazz at Lincoln Center, now in its 32nd concert season, continues to present the highest quality in artistry and musicianship throughout its 29 programs in Rose Theater and The Appel Room, as well as in the hundreds of performances at Dizzy’s Club. In honor of National Arts in Education Week (September 8-14), Jazz at Lincoln Center announces an extensive range of free (and almost free) concerts and educational events for all ages, including Hot Seat tickets, pre-concert discussions, family concerts and Late Night Sessions at Dizzy’s Club. Jazz at Lincoln Center offers special pricing for students year-round.

Dizzy’s Club’s 10th Annual Generations In Jazz Festival Lineup Announced

New York, NY (July 25, 2019) - September marks the tenth anniversary of Dizzy’s Club’s Generations in Jazz Festival, featuring exemplary artists across generations in 29 unique programs over 30 nights. The festival kicks off on September 2 with Ruben Fox presents Ellingtonia featuring Joy Brown, Samara Joy and Vuyo Sotashe, and closes out on October 1 with two Flip Side Sessions - Mathis Sound Orchestra (7:30 p.m.) and Endea Owens and the Cookout (9:30 p.m.)

This season is about big ideas and inspiring figures, and further exemplifies all jazz is modern, bridging gaps between people of all backgrounds and ages.

Announcing the Release of JAZZ AND ART by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis performing original compositions inspired by modern master artists

New York, NY (July 8, 2019) - In past concerts that have been described by the New York Times as being “soulful,” “evocative,” and “playing directly to the band’s strengths,” the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis performed original compositions inspired by masters of modern art including Romare Bearden, Stuart Davis, Sam Gilliam, Winslow Homer, Wifredo Lam, Norman Lewis and Piet Mondrian. On August 2, 2019, Blue Engine Records will release the studio recordings of these charts on a new album entitled Jazz and Art.
