JOSHUA REDMAN STILL DREAMING QUARTET FEATURING REDMAN, RON MILES, SCOTT COLLEY, AND BRIAN BLADE APPEARS IN JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER’S THE APPEL ROOM, MARCH 31 - APRIL 1

New York, New York (February 3, 2017) - Joshua Redman and his newly formed Still Dreaming quartet will make their Jazz at Lincoln Center debut with four performances, March 31 “ April 1, in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s The Appel Room. Redman, one of the best know saxophonists in the world, convenes trumpeter-cornetist Ron Miles, bassist Scott Colley, and drummer Brian Blade - three notable voices in contemporary jazz “ for these special engagements. The Still Dreaming quartet will interpret works by Old and New Dreams, the quartet of the 1970s and ‘80s, which featured Ornette Coleman alumni including Joshua Redman’s father, Dewey Redman. Still Dreaming Quartet will also perform new works by members of the band.

DIZZY’S CLUB COCA-COLA MARCH 2017 LINEUP ANNOUNCED

New York, NY (January 31, 2017) - Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola continues to showcase veterans as well as up-and-coming talent, celebrate jazz pioneers and encourage new collaborations. Performance highlights in March include appearances by DIVA Jazz Orchestra; saxophonist Claire Daly; vocalist Tynan Davis; the Ted Nash Quintet featuring Warren Wolf, Gary Versace, Rufus Reid, and Matt Wilson; pianist Myra Melford; the appropriately named MVP Jazz Quartet including Donald Brown, Ray Drummond, Marvin Smith, and Bobby Watson; Person2Person featuring Houston Person and Eric Person; and pianist and composer Michele Rosewoman.

TWO HEADLINERS, ONE WEEKEND AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER

New York, NY (January 30, 2017) - Two artists representing the diverse landscape of jazz headline the stages of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall on March 3-4, 2017 with milestone performances. NEA Jazz Master and nine-time Grammy Award-winner Eddie Palmieri, a Jazz at Lincoln Center veteran, celebrates his 80th birthday by filling Rose Theater with jazz fused with his Puerto Rican heritage. Trumpeter and composer Dave Douglas presents the premiere live performance of his newest release, Metamorphosis, in The Appel Room.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra Concerts Celebrate Jazz of the '50s and '60s

New York, NY (January 26, 2017) - Jazz at Lincoln Center continues its season introspective, celebrating 100 years of recorded jazz, with two unique concerts featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis: Jazz of the ’50s: Overflowing with Style on February 17 -18, and Free to Be: Jazz of the ’60s & Beyond on March 17-18 at Rose Theater. In addition to performing new and classic arrangements, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will be led by two of their own - trombonist Chris Crenshaw, music director and arranger for Jazz of the ’50s: Overflowing with Style, and saxophonist Walter Blanding, music director for Free to Be: Jazz of the ’60s & Beyond.Jazz of the '50s: Oveflowing with Style and Jazz of the '60s & Beyond will respectively include world premieres by Crenshaw and Blanding.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day Weekend with Jazz at Lincoln Center

New York, NY (January 9, 2016) - Jazz at Lincoln Center will be setting the mood with 12 curated sets of iconic love songs, hosted in two of the most romantic venues in New York City, starting Thursday, February 9 through Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14. Freddy Cole Quartet: Songs for Lovers will kick off the weekend at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, while the sultry sounds of Dianne Reeves will fill Rose Theater during her two performances February 10-11. Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola will then host an unforgettable evening of Brianna Thomas: It Had To Be You on February 14, along with a special menu with wine pairing for one night only.
