Michael Feinstein, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Director of the Jazz & Popular Song series, will perform three new concert programs in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s iconic Appel Room featuring an array of remarkable guests.

Catherine Russell takes historic walk on the “Sunny Side of the Street”

Vocalist extraordinaire Catherine Russell will take an historic walk on the “Sunny Side of the Street” for her long-awaited return to Jazz at Lincoln Center’s The Appel Room, located at Broadway at 60th Street, New York, New York, on April 15-16, 2016 at 7pm & 9:30pm. Russell, with vocalists Carolyn Leonhart (Steely Dan, Wax Poetic) and La Tanya Hall (Bobby McFerrin, Michael Feinstein), will pay tribute to Sy Oliver and perform the legendary composer and arranger’s own re-arrangements of his most famous tunes, originally written for male vocal trios.

World on a String: The Swinging Songs of Broadway

The world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and guest vocalist Kate Davis will debut arrangements of tunes from Broadway’s most beloved productions including “Annie Get Your Gun,” “South Pacific,” “West Side Story,” “Fiddler On The Roof,” “The Producers” in a special concert event entitled World on a String: Swinging Songs of Broadway.
