Jazz impresario and pianist George Wein, affectionately referred to as “The Father of Jazz Festivals” after creating the Newport Jazz Festival in 1954, celebrates his 88th birthday by performing with his Newport All-Stars in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s The Allen Room on October 3 & 4 at 7pm.
