National Endowment for the Arts Announces 2014 NEA Jazz Masters, Nation's Highest Honor in Jazz
Today, the National Endowment for the Arts announced the 2014 NEA Jazz Masters, all unique in their approaches to jazz.

The Music is Timeless. The Show is "After Midnight."
Scott Sanders Productions (lead producer) announced today that After Midnight (a new production of Cotton Club Parade, conceived by Jack Viertel, which played two smash-hit, sold-out engagements at City Center) will open on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street) this fall. Director/choreographer Warren Carlyle and superstar fashion duo Isabel and Ruben Toledo will join nine-time Grammy Awardand Pulitzer Prize winner Wynton Marsalis and The Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars to bring the lavish shows of the hip Harlem nightclub to a whole new generation of theatergoers.

Art Blakey, Lionel Hampton, and Clark Terry were inducted into Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Ertegun Jazz Hall of Fame (EJHF) at an induction ceremony and luncheon yesterday at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s (JALC) home, Frederick P. Rose Hall.
