Friends of Jazz

Your donation of $100 or more makes you a Friend of Jazz. These members unlock exclusive benefits, allowing you to make the most of your Jazz at Lincoln Center experience all year long.

Rhythm Club

Rhythm Club is a community of individuals in their twenties, thirties, and early forties that connects jazz enthusiasts and those interested in expanding their knowledge of the art form. Members mingle and enjoy performances and social events while directly supporting the work and mission of Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Patrons Program

In addition to Friends of Jazz membership benefits, a donation of $1000 or more makes you part of our Patrons Program. Patrons enjoy concierge ticket service and behind-the-scenes access that bring you closer to the music.

What benefits come from membership?

As a member, you receive exclusive VIP pre-sale access throughout the season, invitations to special events, discounts to Swing University and Blue Engine Records merchandise, and more.

How is membership different from a donation?

With your membership contribution, you’re supporting Jazz at Lincoln Center while also unlocking exclusive benefits all year long that bring you closer to the music. Part of each membership contribution is tax-deductible. A donation is fully tax-deductible and does not include benefits. If you would like to make a tax-deductible gift to our annual fund, visit jazz.org/donate.

What is the membership refund policy?

Due to the nature of charitable contributions, membership gifts are non-refundable.

Are tickets included with my membership contribution?

No, your membership contribution does not include tickets. However, as a member you will be alerted when your VIP pre-sale access begins. Members also receive exclusive ticket discounts and invitations to special events not open to the public.

Can I gift a membership?

Of course! Membership makes a great gift! You may purchase a gift membership for a friend or a family member online or over the phone, the same way you would purchase a membership for yourself.

Will I get a member or patron card?

If you joined or renewed before April 2, 2019, you may continue to use your current membership card until it expires. If your membership expires soon, we look forward to sending you a new card when you renew. Your expiration date and member ID number will not change and will be printed on your new membership card.

How is membership different than a subscription?

Unlike a subscription, which allows you to book tickets to a series of performances, a membership does not involve prepaid packages or large upfront financial commitments. Membership is completely flexible and offers exclusive benefits reserved for members. Best of all, your membership supports Jazz at Lincoln Center’s mission to expand a global community for jazz through our education and artistic initiatives.

When and why did the membership program change?

On April 2, 2019, we made some changes to benefits, pricing, and categories of our membership program. These changes will help us better serve the needs of our members and of our organization and the wider global jazz community. With these changes, we want to emphasize Jazz at Lincoln Center’s commitment to organizational sustainability and ensure that the tax-deductible portion of every membership gift goes toward supporting our artistic and education programming.
