Brandon Goldberg Trio with special guest Marcus Strickland

“Let’s Play” Album Release

With pianist Brandon Goldberg, bassist Ben Wolfe, drummer Donald Edwards, and tenor saxophonist Marcus Strickland.

“…the sensitivity and poignancy of a musician three times his age.” — DownBeat (2016)

Only 12 years old, pianist and composer Brandon Goldberg is a special talent. Goldberg is here tonight to celebrate the release of his debut album, Let’s Play, featuring two of the finest musicians on the scene: bassist Ben Wolfe and drummer Donald Edwards. Goldberg has already performed at top venues like Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Apollo Theater, as well as at major competitions, conventions, and television programs. In DownBeat’s 2018 Student Music Awards—a prestigious contest open to students through college and university—Goldberg won first place in the Jazz Soloist and Outstanding Original Composition categories. Join us at Dizzy’s to celebrate the launch of Goldberg’s recording career, and be one of the first to experience his gifts as a performer and composer in a full concert setting.
