Dizzy's Club

Black Art Jazz Collective

With trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, tenor saxophonist Wayne Escoffery, trombonist James Burton, pianist Xavier Davis, bassist Vicente Archer, and drummer Rodney Green.

Black Art Jazz Collective (BAJC) is a collaborative ensemble comprised of top-caliber instrumentalists. Each member is a leader in his own right and has also been an integral part of groups led by pioneers including Wayne Shorter, Tom Harrell, Bobby Hutcherson, Ron Carter, Louis Hayes, Freddie Hubbard, and many more. The BAJC performs fiery, expert post-bop originals dedicated to African American icons, and they have quickly established themselves as a significant new group with some rightfully high expectations. Their first-ever performance was at Dizzy’s Club back in 2013, and we’re very excited to have them back for another highly anticipated performance
