In addition, He/she is responsible for generating annual contributed revenue with national and international corporations through the integrated packaging of Jazz at Lincoln Center assets in the areas of branding, tickets, hospitality, unique experiential programs, venue rentals and digital content. The position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new corporate prospects, members, and sponsors, in addition to the management of existing partnerships and overseeing the successful implementation and activation of all key contractual deliverables.
This is a leadership position within the Brand, Sales and Marketing Department, and this Director frequently collaborates with other JALC departments, including Concerts and Touring, FPRH (venue), Development and Education. He/she is also responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of positive relationships with key JALC donors and Board Members, particularly in terms of leveraging their corporate connections. This position is highly collaborative across departments and requires creativity, strategic thinking and excellent communication and sales skills.

- Shape and drive key strategic partnership initiatives that are central to the growth of the jazz audience and financial health of the organization.
- Provide strategic insight, analytical rigor and financial assessments of growth / innovation initiatives and strategic partnerships
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, product / service offerings through new platforms and innovative business models
- Build and nuture partnerships
- Support growth and development of your direct reports
- Align initiatives with brand marketing KPIs and track progress throughout the life of the programs
- Leverage customer insights & analytical tools to increase brand marketing ROI
Qualifications
- 8-10 years experience in Marketing
- Strong leadership as well as team building and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to connect strategies with tangible outcomes.
- Significant experience managing multiple, complex projects with changing priorities.
- Must be able to think creatively, prioritize multiple tasks, and work effectively under pressure within a team environment to meet deadlines.
- A deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods; past performance in uncovering insights as well as areas of opportunity for growth (audience & revenue).
- Ability to create a fun, inspirational, and collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to foster a shared sense of ownership and success.
- Meticulously own multiple projects; ensuring clearly articulated strategies with flawless execution.
- Professional experience at an arts organization, or a demonstrated commitment to the arts and the ability to articulate the importance of the arts to others.
- Knowledge and appreciation of the arts and jazz is preferred.
