Customer Relations Associate

 

The Customer Relations Associate supports Jazz at Lincoln Center’s (JALC’s) customer base by interfacing with subscribers, patrons, and ticket holders by handling relevant customer service issues.  The Customer Relations Associate also coordinates with other internal JALC departments and provides administrative and clerical support to the Assistant Director, Ticketing and Customer Service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming customer service communications while overseeing timely response, answering inquiries via multiple phone lines and various inbound e-mails channels to ensure a positive customer service experience with JALC.
  • Oversee all inbound group sale inquiries via phone and email as well as administering sales process for existing group sales orders and clients.
  • Assist part time staff in redemption of season subscription ticket orders, house seat ticket orders and ticket exchange requests.
  • Interface with the Box Office as related to ticket purchases, refunds, and customer service related to ticketing. 
  • Sell JALC gift certificates and assist consumers with redemption of gift certificates towards programmed events in Tessitura.
  • Update and maintain the ticketing database as well as the Marketing Department’s general mailing lists. 
  • Staff the customer service table at JALC concerts and events, as needed.
  • Assist with training and scheduling of part time Customer Service Assistants.
  • Handle other special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate degree in business/related field or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of professional work experience, preferably in a ticketing and/or customer service role.
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, and a customer-oriented attitude. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a strict deadline-oriented environment.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with track record of taking professional initiative.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and availability to work some evenings or weekends as needed to support Jazz at Lincoln Center events.
  • Previous experience with computerized ticketing software program(s) preferred, specifically Tessitura.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
