Activation Manager, Partnership and Sales


The Activation Manager is a key member of the Partnership and Sales team responsible for stewarding JALC’s corporate partnerships and managing the day-to-day needs of partners to achieve mutual brand and commercial outcomes.  The Activation Manager will serve as an in/external liaison to partners within the portfolio and manage the fulfillment of contractual deliverables and activation of benefits including but not limited to ticketing, hospitality, social media campaigns, in-house and off-site events, marketing and promotional opportunities.

The ideal candidate is an organized, collaborative and creative thinker who is comfortable working independently and within both structured and fluid environments. Project management experience is a plus.


  • Manage day-to-day corporate sponsorship and partner relationships and ensure assets and benefits are optimized and delivered to the agreed upon contractual milestones;
  • Collaborate with Associate and Assistant Directors to create and execute partnership activation plans including event logistics, budget tracking and ensuring communications with all parties;
  • Manage cross-departmental communication around partnership initiatives to ensure transparency, surface issues, solve problems efficiently, and maximize opportunities;
  • Provide year-end outcome reports for partners including grant submissions;
  • Assist Associate and Assistant Directors in managing departmental budget; and
  • Track rental donations and send acknowledgement letters.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ marketing and events experience, preferably in music, arts, or entertainment.
  • Effective relationship management skills with an ability to influence internal/external partners. Client management experience is preferred.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and track spends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven New York City arts environment with a drive to succeed.
