Jazz at Lincoln Center Announces 2016 Blue Engine International Tour

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, “the greatest large jazz ensemble working today” (Chicago Tribune), will perform a stylistic range of material with a host of guest artists throughout 15 international cities in 40 days. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis 2016 Blue Engine International Tour, named for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s new platform, Blue Engine Records, begins on February 4 in Paris, France and will conclude on March 12 in Wellington, New Zealand.

Valentine's Day Weekend at Jazz at Lincoln Center

In Rose Theater, GRAMMY-Award-nominated pianist Monty Alexander is joined by GRAMMY-Award-winning singer Kurt Elling to perform love songs from the Frank Sinatra songbook on February 12 & 13 at 8pm in Rose Theater. Freddy Cole, who The New York Times calls “the most maturely expressive male jazz singer of his generation, if not the best alive,” performs in the intimate and romantic setting of Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola on February 12-14. The 25-year-old vocal wonder Cécile McLorin Salvant returns to The Appel Room from February 12-14.
