Our award-winning education programs are tailored for students of all ages, from toddlers just starting to swing to adults interested in expanding their knowledge of jazz.

Webop

WeBop is Jazz at Lincoln Center’s award-winning early-childhood jazz education program for little ones and their parents/caregivers. We strongly believe in children’s natural ability to improvise, and we are committed to exploring their creativity through fun interactive classes.

Throughout our season, we host a number of concerts tailored to help young students and their families learn more about our music.

Middle School
Jazz Academy

Middle School Jazz Academy offers tuition-free instrumental jazz instruction to New York City middle school students. Students learn how to play jazz while emphasizing the importance of teamwork, creativity and self-expression, from Jazz at Lincoln Center faculty and visiting jazz masters.

High School
Jazz Academy

This program offers instrumental jazz instruction to high school students in the tri-state area. Students have the opportunity to enhance their musical education with the finest professional training and performance opportunities.

Summer
Jazz Academy

Summer Jazz Academy is a 2-week residential high school summer institute for advanced study in jazz performance, held at Bard College.

Swing U

Join an avid group of life-long learners from around the world, committed to appreciating and understanding our music. Taught by musicians and experts, Swing University offers virtual classes on the history of jazz, its musicians, how to listen, and more.
