Seamus Blake Quartet

With tenor saxophonist Seamus Blake, pianist David Kikoski, bassist Matt Clohesy, and drummer Kush Abadey

“Extraordinary, a total saxophonist” – John Scofield

Tenor saxophonist Seamus Blake has been an integral part of bands led by John Scofield, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Eric Reed, and the Grammy Award-nominated Mingus bands. First-place winner of the 2002 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition, Blake has long been known for his superior talent on the instrument. But he’s also an explorative, genre-crossing composer and the leader of a diverse array of interesting projects, including 16 albums as a leader. Check out his Quintet at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola.

This event is part of our 8th annual Coca-Cola Generations in Jazz Festival, showcasing some of the top rising stars of jazz alongside some of the artists who have contributed to making this art form what it is today. The Coca-Cola Generations in Jazz Festival runs from September 1–October 1, 2017. View the full line-up here.
