Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola
Dan Levinson's Roof Garden Jass Band with special guest vocalist Queen Esther
Presented by Jazz at Lincoln Center and the New York Hot Jazz Festival

It’s hot jazz weekend at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola! For the first of six distinct performances co-presented with the New York Hot Jazz Festival, we welcome Dan Levinson’s Roof Garden Jass Band and special guest vocalist Queen Esther. Levinson is a first-call clarinetist and bandleader known for his expertise in early jazz styles, and his Roof Garden Jass Band effectively transports listeners to the early days of jazz. Performing with them is vocalist Queen Esther, a very exciting addition to the band. She possesses a powerful, four-octave voice and an impressive versatility across jazz, blues, rock, folk, and Americana music. They’re here for one set only, so make sure to stop by and help us kick off the Hot Jazz Age weekend! This set will cover the first five years of recorded jazz, from the Original Dixieland Jazz Band to Kid Ory.
This set is part of Hot Jazz Age: From the First Jazz Recording to the Dawn of Swing (1917-1934), presented by Jazz at Lincoln Center and the New York Hot Jazz Festival, October 28-30. Full lineup:
