Assistant Director, Marketing


Currently we have an opening for an Assistant Director, Marketing to join a dynamic and highly-engaged team.  This position will develop, execute, and analyze multi-channel marketing efforts for Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola performances. Supporting the Director of Marketing, this position will build the Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola marketing strategy focusing on brand awareness, and audience development and retention, utilizing new and established platforms, techniques, and opportunities throughout each season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the club product manager, building and implementing marketing plans and engaging any and all necessary stakeholders in the process.

  • Plan and oversee the marketing strategy and budget for Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, whose components may include:

    • Print collateral

    • Direct mail

    • Email

    • Digital (social and remarketing)

    • Radio

    • Owned, earned and paid media

  • Manage the brand development of Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola.

  • Monitor attendance patterns and flexibly shift campaigns in real time based on in-market performance.

  • Consistently explore and develop new marketing ventures and media partnerships.

  • Manage all relevant creative requests, and internal approvals.

  • Oversee content submission and updates to the Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola website.

  • Work collaboratively with JALC’s food and beverage vendor, Great Performances, on cross-promotional opportunities.

  • Develop and manage a community outreach strategy to cultivate new audiences.

  • Analyze campaign performance and provide detailed reports to Director of Marketing, and other reports as requested.

  • Assist with marketing outreach efforts for select Rose Theater and Appel Room concerts as part of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s concert season.

  • Additional tasks as needed.


Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant work experience. 

Minimum of 5 years performing arts or music marketing experience preferred. Knowledge and appreciation of jazz music, with a willingness to learn.

Experience with multi-channel marketing campaigns.

Ability to function in a deadline-oriented and fast-paced environment.

Strong understanding of new media and technology in marketing/advertising. Familiarity tracking campaigns and ROI.

Excellent communication, organizational, written and interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of Tessitura preferred.
